Waking Up Next To You.

On this day, 25 years ago, the love of my life was born. 

I wanted to write about him today. I wanted to appreciate him.

What makes someone wonderful? 

What makes someone completely and utterly wonderful?

I don't have the answer to that.
But I do know what makes someone worth waking up next to. 

Here is a list of Things I looked for in a guy:

Not cocky ( Big turn off)

A little hard to Get (Girls don't like easy either)

Caring

Romantic

A Good Sense of Humor who can make me laugh

Faithful 

Someone who gets my sense of humor

Responsible (Good Priorities)

Loving

Affectionate

A little mysterious

Not afraid to Get Dirty

Someone who can pick me up and let me wrap myself around him

Protective

Someone who will fight for me

Open-minded

Easy-going

Hard working

Passionate

Someone who has goals & ambitions

Family oriented

I know, it's a long list. I need all of these things. Looks never mattered as much to me. These are the things that I look for. When I met Ty, I crossed every single one of these things off of my list. He is all of these things and so much more. I have been with Ty for 2 years and 3 months to the day, today. We are still as much in love and crazy about each other as the day we met.

Sometimes, in relationships, things cool off. Things get routine and boring. After all, you spend a good amount of time with them, especially if you live with them. I can honestly say that our relationship is not like that. I never dreamt that I could have what I have with Ty. 

I think what we have is a rare thing.

If things start to get dull, he livens it up. If I am sad, he will make me laugh. If I am in a bad mood, he gives me space. He gets my sense of humor. I have said this before. Sometimes, I tend to be a little dramatic and think the worst case scenario.  (My defense mechanism that I'm still working on) We'll get in an argument about the silliest thing. Usually, it's me that starts this issue. He will tell me, "Don't be crazy, baby. I love you."

These things are the things that make him such a wonderful person. I love him.

I want to tell him thank you for being my everything. 

Thank you for bringing out the best in me.
