This wedding planning is for the birds! When I started planning in February, I was excited to plan out this very special day. But this excitement has dwindled. The pressure of trying to plan everything how I have always envisioned mixed with the stress of moving twice in one month has gotten to me. I sit down to cross things off of my list and 2 hours later, I'm still working on the first thing and have 3 more issues added to my list. I text Ty at work to tell him that I want to elope and he always replies with something wonderful.
I keep reminding myself that it's not about the decor or the dj or what we eat. It's about Ty and I, forever. It's been that way since day one and it's still that way. All about love.

We are searching for a 2nd home here in New York. For those of you that don't know, we moved to New York a year ago when Ty accepted a job offer and we have been jumping around from one house to another ever since. It is time to find a secure home. We have until spring to find one. The house we are currently in, is a seasonal house and we must be out by May. I want to be settled and moved into our permanent place by the time our wedding comes along. God help us all if we have to move a month before the wedding! Our living situation is confusing, to say the least. I won't bore you with more details but I want more than anything to be settled in a permanent home. I have learned that home is where Ty and Scarlett are but I still long for a place to call "ours". I know that it will all come together soon. Patience is a virtue....so they say.
I was informed a couple of weeks ago that I have to sign Scarlett up for preschool within the next few months. My baby is only 17 months!! I feel sad that I am looking into preschools but I know it's only due to the 2 year wait list for one of the top preschools in New York. So for that, I will put away my sad face and enroll away. A great school is important.
With our crazy busy schedule and wedding plans, I haven't had much time to write. (Sad face)
No matter how aggravated I get with life hassles, I smile because I know I am extremely blessed with all that I've been given in my life.
Amen to that.
Amen to that.
1.Scarlett in the Park
2.Hand Painted Bridesmaid Cards from 22&33
3.Minnetonkas & Warm hats for fall.
4.A silly babe jumping in my bed.
5.Plants I potted this week.
6.Another shot of her because she's just so darn cute
7.Groceries. Always groceries.
Everything will come together in a blink of a eye and you will look back and think about how wonderful it was being able to set up and organize this whole day!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, it will all come together! A couple of months before our wedding, I was on the phone with my now SIL telling her I had nothing planned. She started asking, "Well, what are you doing for this? What are you doing for that?" and I kept answering her and then she said some magical words that made me feel a lot better, "Well, it sounds like you have everything figured out." It just took talking to her and going over things for me to realize that I did pretty much have it all figured out.
ReplyDeleteWishing you luck with everything coming your way. It will all fall into place. Your photos are so pretty...I LOVE those painted bridesmaids cards!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Scarlett's red shoes! I hope the weekend was more play than work and you get some time to take it easy!
Happy Sunday!
Xoxo

Those bridesmaids cards are beautiful. I couldn't agree with you more, wedding planning is totally for the birds! We planned our wedding in 3 months and that was even too long. Building a marriage and life together is the best idea. Have a great Monday!
