Today I'm home with Scarlett on a snow day. Scarlett's excited for snow and that's about it. I for one, am over winter this year. I normally would try and embrace the winter but the pregnancy is making it hard for me to enjoy the things that I usually enjoy. Skiing, ice skating and sledding to name a few. Not to mention, it's been pretty frigid outside. I'm really anxious for spring and mini getaway trips that I want to take with our family. I'd love to have a few fun things planned for our family of three before the new baby gets here.
This seems like an easy enough task but as I look at our calendar for the next 5 months, it's going to be a busy spring! My younger sister is getting married in May and with a wedding, comes all those wedding details: wedding showers, bachelorette parties and rehearsals. Scarlett also turns 4 in May! It's hard to believe. I'm going to throw her a party and invite some family for that, too. Before ya know it, the new baby will be here. So between all of this, we'll try and find a weekend or two to do some fun things. Even if it's day trips.
While we sit home and paint pictures and watch movies, I thought I would share with you a couple photos from our our Super Bowl Party last night. Scarlett had me in stitches as she insisted that the Seahawks were the "Holly-Hawks". I assure you I did not teach her this and I'm not sure where this came from but it was pretty amusing for all of our Patriot Fan guests. We had a few people from Ireland over, too. Since they had never attended a Super Bowl Party, they got a few kicks out of our shouting and loud antics. All in all, it was a good night that ended with Scarlett asking me, "Are the Patriots the Champions?" …….."Yes babe, the Patriots ARE the champions." We slept great and woke up this blizzard weather. I'm hoping you all have a great Monday and stop by this week to see some Maternity photos that I shot with the talented Peter Castillo this weekend.
xo.
