37 Weeks & Counting.

It's really baffling to look down at my Countdown and see that I don't even have a month left before I meet this baby boy who's been doing karate moves in my belly for the last two months. I thought that the last month of pregnancy, at least, would slow down for me. That didn't happen. Maybe because life is so busy. We just returned from Massachusetts last weekend from a little trip to visit family for Mother's Day. The weekend before that was Scarlett's Birthday Party. And now, we are actually away again this weekend for a road trip to celebrate my little sister's wedding. Doctor wasn't too keen on me traveling but I assured her that it was only a state away and we'd only be gone 3 days. I haven't stopped much to sit down and take in the fact that it really could be any time now. And I'm kind of behind since I still have yet to complete my hospital bag. I know....tick tock.

I'm scrambling to purchase everything that I will need to bring home this babe. Funny how the second time around is so much different. I'll share my hospital bag must-haves this week, hopefully. 

I've been having these sharp pains lately that I'm sure are the baby's head pressing on something inside me. What I'm not sure. But they stop me in my tracks and I can tell this baby is getting lower. Waking up every hour to pee is a reality in my life right now. Go figure that Scarlett has been sleeping amazing and not even getting up to go potty at all. Meanwhile, Ty sleeps soundly next to me and I'm up watching reruns of the Golden Girls or How It's Made at 3 am....
I guess it's my body's way of telling me that soon he'll be here. Eeeeek!! Excited and nervous all over again! I thought that this second time around I would be less nervous since I know what the process will be like somewhat. But I'm just as nervous as I was the first time around. I'm trying to keep those fears at bay by remembering how blessed I am and that God's in control.
