I'm not sure how it happened but this past month, but Scarlett graduated from Preschool. I sat there looking at my little girl as she sat in her chair singing the dearest songs and a reel started turning in my mind, playing moments of this little girl's life. Thankfully that day I wore large sunglasses. I know that all too soon, I will be watching her graduate from 8th grade, high school....college even. The thought of this terrifies me because I love the littleness of my babies. I love their giggles and fear-free outlook. I love the way they play and all the wonder that they bring. I never want that to end. Inevitably, it will. I hope they take just a small bit of it with them. I find it hard to swallow. I am so grateful for a smart, healthy Scarlett. I am so proud of the girl she is becoming. Horse lover, witty-remarked, creative, beautiful, imaginative little wonder that she is. The theme for their pre-k graduation was "Oh The Places You Will Go". They went home with a bag of work that they had done over the last year. The sweetest notebook that they used every week. Seeing the difference from the beginning of the year to the end was so enjoying to look through. They also made a time capsule. Small little details that I love.
I realized after we took a couple photos that our family looked like a picnic with our red, yellow and blue attire. Made me laugh but I'm so grateful for this family and all of the milestones that we get to live. What a blessing....
Scarlett, Oh the places you will go is right....dream on little love.
